November Girls

Taken during a shoot at my schools studio. My first one, and I love it! I have access to so much equipment and lights...Can't wait to get my hands on a 5D!

Anyway, this was taken before Nov. 4th, but with the election turning out the way it did, this shoot took on new meaning for me. I am utterly humbled and warmed by the election of Obama and what it's done to unite so many people, not only in the U.S., but in the world. The lines between black and white are becoming even more blurred. I know there is the meaty political issues accompanying the election and believe me, I've done my homework. But on the thought and landmark of having our first Black president, this photo is in honor of the great accomplished goal of ages.
